Messages for Lisa

Send a message or make a comment to Lisa, the owner of La Bonne Maison Eating disorder treatment center.
Hi, I'm Lisa Hatten, owner of La Bonne Maison, a restorative treatment program for women with anorexia, bulimia and binge eating disorders. Thank you for taking the first step to seek recovery. It takes a lot of guts to acknowledge that you need help. Take it from me, I didn’t speak out because I was too embarrassed and didn’t want to be locked up away from family and friends.
I am convinced that if a program existed like mine years ago I would have sought help much earlier. But, its ok now I can help others so they don’t have to suffer as I did. I want to thank you for visiting my website and if you are suffering from an eating disorder you have found the right place. If you’re a family member don’t push your loved one to seek treatment just encourage them and point them in the right direction. If they are ready they will tell you. But, I understand it is hard to watch a loved one suffer. I created La Bonne Maison after seeking treatment for my eating disorder. I wasn’t satisfied because the environment was too cold and the follow up care was non -existing. It had always been my dream to help others not suffer as I had. But, it took a lot of work but I can say I am finally living. I am re- married with two wonderful stepchildren and I’m living the life that God intended me to live.
I think the key to the success of my program is that clients are living in a home with support but also a home filled with a team who truly care. We treat our clients with respect and we also give them a voice. It’s a program that is small enough that we can give you individualized care. One thing that is true and dear to me is that three of my staff members graduated from my program and now work tirelessly to help others within La Bonne Maison. Their commitment to La Bonne Maison is a testament to the quality of a successful program.

Lisa Hatten
ED chairs

Here you can dialogue between yourself and Ed. This exercise will help you to distinguish between the voice of your eating disorder and your own true voice. Pretend like you have two chairs facing each other. The first chair is where you sit when you are speaking in your true voice. The second chair is your eating disorder talking. Write the conversation you have between yourself and Ed. Check out other people's conversations for inspiration.
